One of my favorite winter cocktails is a White Russian. If you are looking for a cozy cocktail that has a good flavor and a strong kick, this could be the perfect cocktail for you! With a creamy texture and a strong coffee taste, this is a great cocktail for a cold day. This is my White Russian recipe!
When craving a winter cocktail, this is a go-to drink for me. Coffee can be such a comforting drink and it is one of my favorite ingredients to add into a cocktail. In the summer, I prefer an espresso martini and in the winter, I love a White Russian cocktail. This White Russian recipe is very easy and quick! The coffee brings a delicious and bold flavor. The vodka adds a nice, smooth flavor and kick. The heavy cream ties all of the flavors together and adds a creamy texture to the drink.

Cream Alternatives
I don’t always enjoy a sweet drink. A White Russian can be a very sweet cocktail and is delicious. However, I don’t always like that much sugar. There are a couple alternatives to the cream if you want it to be less sweet or less calories!
Half-N-Half can be a great alternative. It doesn’t have as much milk fat as the heavy cream will have. It will still have the thick consistency that will give you the fun clouded look. If you want an aesthetically pleasing cocktail without the heavy cream, this is a great alternative!
2% milk is another good alternative. You won’t have nearly as much of the fat in the drink and it will be a much lighter and healthier version of the drink. It has a more watery consistency so you won’t get much of a clouded looking cocktail.

In closing,
Use your favorite coffee for this cocktail, grab a book and sit by the fire enjoying a relaxing moment. The winter is filled with events, parties, get-togethers and a lot of family time. It can be very easy to get caught up in all of the craziness and get overwhelmed or burnt out. Take some time and spend an hour to yourself with a great cocktail and something that brings you joy. It will help replenish your energy and your spirits!
