This week we had a relaxing week with my family so I decided to try a spruced up version of one of my favorite, easy cocktails, a vodka tonic. You truly can’t go wrong with a classic staple drink, but if you add some unique flavors to it, I can confirm, it takes it to the next level. See the recipe and directions below. One of the easiest flavors to add is rosemary for a refreshing Rosemary Vodka Tonic!
Prep time | 5 minutes
Cook Time | 5 minutes
Recipe
- 4 tablespoons of sugar
- 4 tablespoons of water
- 4 fluid oz Vodka (I prefer Titos)
- 5 sticks of rosemary
- Tonic water
*This recipe makes 2 cocktails*
Rosemary Simple Syrup
- Combine the sugar, water and 3 sticks of rosemary in a pot over medium heat. Let it come to a simmer and stir until all of the sugar has dissolved.
- Strain the syrup into a container and dispose of the rosemary. Let it sit until it is room temperature.
Cocktail
- Combine the rosemary simple syrup, vodka and stir.
- Top with your choice of tonic water and shake with ice.
- Pour into your cutest cocktail glass and add a lime wedge and fresh stick of rosemary.
