I had a lot of free time in the month of July so I was able to squeeze in quite a few books last month! I thoroughly enjoyed each one of them. They were all fiction romance stories which is unusual for me to stay within one genre. However, it was a busy month with the move so I wanted something a little more lighthearted! Here is my monthly book update for July!
The Last Letter To Your Lover by: Jojo Moyes
This was a sweet book to read. It was a little slow at the beginning for me but overall, the book was so cute! It begins with a love affair from the 1960’s. A man and woman trying to choose between the lives they have and the one that they want. Then, a journalist from the present day finds a few of the final letters at her office. She decides to track both of them down to find out what they chose. It is a great story of finding yourself and making the brave choice to chase the life you want! You can buy the book here.
Reminders of Him by: Colleen Hoover
I thought that the story was lovely and overall so good. The main character, Kenna, is figuring out life after prison serving time for a tragic mistake. She hopes to reunite with her 4 year old daughter but finds it difficult once people throughout the town realizes who she is. Throughout this story you will feel more compassion for those who make mistakes in their life and how to look at their life post prison from all sides. You get the views from the one who made the mistake as well as those who suffered the tragic consequences. The story in this book is one of forgiveness, regret, growth and love. This book had me crying by the end. You can buy the book here.
It Ends With Us by: Colleen Hoover
It Ends With Us was such a different book than I was expecting! Lilly begins her young adult life in Boston to begin her own life. She meets a neurosurgeon, Ryle, and quickly falls in love with him. It is all going well until she runs into her first love, Atlas. The story develops once Lilly has to make a decision between the two and make sure that she stays within her own boundaries that she has set for herself. This is a story that I believe everyone will like. It was a much heavier book than I anticipated but the ending is one that had me feeling an actual weight for the characters. I felt like I was able to connect with each character which makes the ending that much greater in my opinion! The other aspect that I loved about this book is that the title is explained at the end!
