Fall Decor Trends And Mood Boards

Fall brings in the crisp air, pumpkin flavored everything  and the warm candle scents that engulf our homes! Decorating for fall can be difficult and finding the best accessories that match what you may already have may stress you out. No worries! I put together a few mood boards and links to some of my favorite fall decor trends that I have found this season! Faux Plants

You can never go wrong with faux plants! I have a few vases that I keep out year round and alternate the plants / sticks each season. Faux plants can dress up vases, baskets, your walls and many different areas around your home without the stress of keeping a plant alive! You can get good quality sticks and plants at various places which I have listed below!

Pillows

Every man’s favorite household item! An easy way to transition your home for the new season is adding a new set of pillows! Below are a few of my favorites that I have found! Choose a solid color that you like and pair it with a patterned pillow to give you a strong fall color / pattern combination.

Candles

Personally, I think that Bath and Body Works candles are too much. THERE I SAID IT.  I know that is an uncommon opinion so please don’t come at me. Anthropologie has the best candles in my opinion! They have a strong scent and last much longer than most candles. Target has some incredible scents as well but their candles are hit or miss for me. Grab some deep colored and fall scented candles to style your tables and nightstands for a small hint of autumn.

Throws & Blankets

Another simple decor item is adding a throw blanket. For these, I prefer a knitted, solid color throw because they are easy to style and add a deeper color to the overall pallet. Drape it over the arm of your sofa underneath your new pillows for some layers and contrast! 

TIP: If you have darker pillows, choose a lighter throw blanket and vice versa. You want this to be contrasting so make sure that the blanket doesn’t get overtaken by a similar colored pillow.
