Tucson is undoubtedly one of the most underrated cities in Arizona. I remember when we were preparing to move here from Austin, I was looking up all of the guides to Tucson and couldn’t find ANYTHING. I looked at my husband and was like “where the heck are you moving us to?”. However, I was quickly surprised as we began exploring and discovering the amazing restaurants and community this city has to offer!
Since moving here, I have created lists of some of my favorite coffee shops, shopping spots, hikes and other things to visit around Tucson. If you are moving to Tucson or visiting Tucson during the snowbird months or for a work trip, I hope that you can find something in one of my guides to help elevate your visit to Tucson!

Flora’s Market Run
Address: 2513 E 6th St.
From the creators of Prep & Pastry and Commoner & Co, Flora’s Market Run is a beautiful spot that houses a coffee shop, bar, restaurant and fresh bakery and market! They have a daily happy hour special from 3 pm – 6 pm. Their specials include $2 off cocktails & well spirits, $5 tap beer and $6 house wines! They also offer some great deals on food options!
Monday + Tuesday include a $40 special that includes a pizza, salad and a bottle of wine! This is during their happy hour from 3 pm – 6pm.
On Thursday’s, they offer ½ off bottles of wine during their happy hours as well!
Boca Tacos y Tequila
Address: 533 N 4th Ave
This native Tucson taco restaurant has an incredible take on specialty tacos and fresh salsa made daily! They also participate in the happy hour scene! They have a daily happy hour from 4-6pm and on Thursdays from 4pm to close.
They offer 16oz well margaritas for $6.25, PBR draft for $1.50, well drinks for $4.00, house wines for $5.50 and more!
Commoner & Co.
Address: 6990 E Sunrise Dr
The same owners as Flora’s Market Run own and run this fine dining restaurant that can be found in the base of the Catalina Mountains. They offer unique twists to classic dishes with incredible flavor! They also offer a happy hour everyday from 4-6pm!
During their happy hour specials, you can get any cocktail for $9.50, a glass of house wine for $5 or any beer on tap for $5! On top of that, they have a happier hour that offers $1 off small plates from 4-5pm.
On Mondays, they offer ½ off bottles of wine on top of the happy hour special.
On Tuesday’s, they have a special on their fried chicken. So you can go and grab some fried chicken and a cocktail or glass of wine all on a special deal!
Highwire
Address: 30 S Arizona Ave.
Highwire is a local bar and restaurant that specializes in mixed drinks! They have a happy hour Tuesday – Friday from 6-8pm! They offer ½ off well cocktails and beers!
On Tuesdays, they have ½ off margaritas for Karaoke night. Wednesdays are known as “Whiskey Wednesday” and they offer ½ off whiskey and ½ off domestic beers.
Elliot’s on Congress
Address: 135 E Congress St.
Not only do they have a daily happy hour from 4-7pm, but they also offer weekly specials on top of the daily happy hour! Their normal happy hour offers are $4 house infused vodka drinks, $3 well drinks and $1 off craft beers! They also offer a special on selection menu items!
Their weekly specials are as follows:
Mondays: $3 shot specials from 10pm – 2am
Tuesdays: extended happy hour from 4pm – 2am
Wednesdays: $3 well drinks from 4pm – 2am and karaoke from 10pm – 2am
Thursdays: Reverse happy hour from 10pm – 2am

Batch is one of America’s best bourbon bars and is known for having Arizona’s largest whiskey collections with over 1000 unique bottles of whiskey! They also offer unique and decadent doughnuts as well. They are hand crafted every Friday and Saturday morning! They are located in an historic building on Congress St. in Tucson and offer a boutique whiskey bottle shop inside!
Batch offers a daily happy hour from 4 pm – 6 pm. Their daily specials include a 20% off all whiskey and house cocktails, $6 house old fashioneds, $6 moscow mules and $1 off draft beer!
On Wednesdays, they offer 20% off all whiskey and whiskey cocktails all day from open to close!
On Thursdays, they offer $20 off non-whiskey house cocktails such as mules, margarita and more! They also have $1 off draft beers!

Illegal Pete’s is a crowd favorite within the University of Arizona’s students and Tucson locals. A downtown bar on University that offers food such as burritos, bowls, tacos, salads, nachos and more! They also offer a daily happy hour from 3 pm – 6 pm! During the summers, they have been known to extend their happy hour specials until 8 pm!
Their happy hour specials include %1 off house + coin-style margaritas, $1 off large chips + queso and $1 off draft beers!
Frog and Firkin
Address: 874 E University Blvd.
Frog and Firkin is another local favorite for students and Tucson locals! With a different happy hour special each day of the week, Frog and Firkin is a great spot to watch whatever sports game is on or play pool in their extensive pool hall in the back!
Their happy hour lasts from 3pm – 6pm but the specials vary so it’s best to walk by and see what the chalkboard says outside their entrance! But some of the specials include ½ off pitchers of domestic beers, $5 margaritas, and $1 off well drinks!
Zinburger
Address: 6390 E Grant Rd
This burger joint offers classic American food with a laid back and relaxed atmosphere. They also have a daily happy hour from 3-6 pm with specials on various menu items such as their cheeseburger, sloppy joe, jalapeno potter or fried chicken sandwich.
Their drink specials include $4 draught pints, $6 glasses of wine and $8 cocktails. They also offer $3.50 floats!
Pueblo Vida
Address: 115 E Broadway Blvd.
Pueblo Vida is a local brewery in Tucson. They offer various options for beer drinkers and even have some delicious summer frozen slushes for the non beer drinker! They have a happy hour every Monday from 3-9pm (all day) with $5 full pours. Go and have a couple of your favorite locally brewed beer!
Noble Hops

This Tucson original gastropub is owned and run by two brothers who combined their love of hand-crafted food and beer and created their own restaurant! With unique menu items, they also offer a daily happy hour from 4-6pm.

A true southern hospitality take in the southwest, The Parish offers a fun dining experience! They serve southern style food as well as a happy hour Tuesday – Friday from 3-6pm. They have $5 draft beers, $2 off well drinks, glasses of wine and various cocktails!
Zona 78

This Italian-inspired restaurant makes delicious dishes from scratch. They also have a delicious daily happy hour from 3-6pm! They have $4 off appetizers, $4 off cocktails, $3 off any glass of wine and $2 off draft beers!
Proof

Proof is an artisanal pizza and pasta restaurant located in St. Philips Plaza. They serve fine Italian meals as well as a daily happy hour from 3-6pm! They have $11 pizza options, $7 appetizers, $6 cocktails and $6 beer and wines!
El Charro Cafe
Address: 311 N. Court Ave.
El Charro Cafe is the Nation’s oldest Mexican restaurant and is located in downtown Tucson! They have a total of 4 locations around Tucson and all of them offer the same menu! Along with a rich history, they also offer a happy hour special on Monday – Friday 3-6pm! They offer $2 off appetizers, $2 off margaritas, draft beer, wells and all glasses of wine! Come for a late lunch or enjoy a nice cool margarita on a warm summer evening before exploring downtown Tucson!
The Monica
Address: 40 E. Congress
The Monica is a restaurant in downtown Tucson that was started by the same family that opened El Charro Cafe, the oldest restaurant in Tucson! They offer a fresh and fast selection of food for all times of the day! They offer a happy hour Monday – Friday from 2-6pm. They offer $2 off shareable appetizers, house margaritas, wells, draft beers + wines by the glass! They also offer monthly wines that are ½ off!
For the weekend crowds, they offer a brunch happy hour from 8am-3pm with $2 off mimosas + more!
The Buffet Bar

Tucson’s oldest bar is the Buffet Bar since 1934! They are the proud creators of the Happiest Minutes! Every day at 6pm their drinks are 2 for the price of 1. At 11pm, buy one drink and another one for $1!
Charro Vida
Address: 7109 N Oracle Rd
A unique approach to sonoran cuisine and mediterranean roots of the real charro history, this Charro Vida offers a healthy approach to Mexican food! They also offer a lovely happy hour special on Tuesdays – Fridays from 2-6pm. They have $2 off shareable appetizers, wine, margaritas, sangria + $2 off drafts!
On Wednesdays, they offer a special ½ off wine for Wine Wednesdays!
For the brunch crowd, they offer ½ off mimosa’s on Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 3pm!
The Delta Bar and Grill

A southern-inspired menu and charm, this restaurant is a true experience! With a uniquely designed dining experience with southern charm service, they are a great place to visit for a fun happy hour! They have a happy hour on Tuesdays-Thursdays from 4-6pm and Fridays from 2-7pm!
They offer $3 off all draft beers, specialty cocktails and glasses of wine and $6 delta old fashioneds. They also have plenty of $6 appetizers to choose from during their happy hour specials.
On Fridays and Saturdays, they are open until Midnight and offer a “Late Night” menu special! Drink specials start at 9pm and food specials start at 10pm and both last until close! They offer $4 all draft beers, $5 margaritas and vodka red bull, and $6 Delta old fashioned.
Blanco Cocina + Cantina

This savory and fresh twist on Mexican food favorites is located in the heart of the Foothill Mall in Tucson. This is a great spot to eat after an afternoon of shopping with a refreshing margarita selection! Their happy hour is Monday – Friday from 3-6pm.
They offer $4 off classic margaritas and $18 off their classic margarita pitchers, $4 off sangria, and $5 beer! They offer $6 tacos for select tacos and $4 off select starters such as guacamole, queso and queso blanco!
North Italia
Address: 2995 E Skyline Dr
An upscale Italian restaurant located in the Foothill Mall, this spot has a great happy hour on Monday – Friday from 3-6pm! They have $5 beers, $7 wine and red sangria. They also offer specials on some of their appetizer options as well! A great spot for a quick happy hour pick me up after some leisurely shopping!
The Union Public House
Address: 4340 N Campbell Ave. Ste 100
This local spot in Tucson offers American fare using local and sustainable ingredients. It is located in the heart of St. Philip’s Plaza which is a very popular spot near the Foothills in Tucson. They offer a daily happy hour from 3-6pm!
Their happy hour specials include $3 domestic draft beers, $4-$6 craft beers, $5 well drinks, $7 wines. They also offer specials for select appetizers such as $4 off poutine fries, pretzels and more!
Agustin Kitchen
Address: 100 S Avenida del Convento
This is a unique spot in the historic Mercado San Agustin center in Tucson. It offers a live oyster bar and a menu that changes seasonally. They also offer a daily happy hour from 3-6pm!
Happy hour includes $1 off draught beers, $7 house wines and $7 cocktails. They have a food menu that includes fresh oysters, herb frites, barrio bread and others! You can enjoy these from their bar and patio area!
