Aperol Spritz Recipe

It’s SPRITZ SEASON!! One of my favorite spring and summer cocktails is an aperol spritz. The first time I had one was in Italy so I am partial because it takes me back to one of the best trips of my life. However, it is a delicious and refreshing cocktail to sip on outside or next to the pool Below is my aperol spritz recipe!

This is a fruity but bitter drink. With flavors of orange, lemon and citrus, you have a very fruity drink. However, aperol is a pretty bitter liqueur which outweighs the fruity flavor. The prosecco and club soda add bubbles and help make the drink lighter in weight. If you prefer sweet drinks, this one may not be for you. However, I encourage you to try it because it is deliciously refreshing!

Aperol Disclaimer

It is very important that you buy the official Aperol brand of Aperol. You may be tempted to buy a less expensive bottle but trust me, it makes a very big difference. As much as I would love to save a few extra dollars by buying an off brand option, the taste is too different and will alter the flavor of the cocktail.

Take some time this season to enjoy the outdoors. Leave your phone inside, sit on the porch with your friends, family or even yourself. Read a book, listen to the sounds of nature, just get outside. Our world seems to be confined to the indoors and our phones that we tend to miss out on the small moments of life. Take a moment to enjoy the small moments of life today.
