One of my favorite things to do every summer is sit by the pool with a cocktail and a good book. Well, lucky for you, I have compiled a list of 40 books to read this summer! I have books ranging from Romance to Fiction to Self Development to Mystery and Thriller books. Let’s dive into into what to add to your summer reading list this summer!
Some of these books I have read, some of them I haven’t. I have about 10 of them on my list to read this summer myself. Also, my spring reading list has some incredible books on it! Romance
I think romance fiction novels are my favorite books to have on my summer reading list. There is nothing like a great heartfelt love story to keep things lighthearted in the summer time. I definitely gravitate toward these books this time of year which is why I am listing them out first. I have all of the books below and then have the individual summaries below that! Here are the romance books to add to your summer reading list!

Next up on the must haves for your summer reading list: Fiction! Fiction books are probably the next books I gravitate to during summer time. Escaping into a different world is one of my favorite things to read when next to the pool. These are my recommendations for a good fiction story to add to your summer reading list!

Summer is also a great time to work on yourself or challenge yourself. A lot of people like to take the summer to try something new or make a serious change. I like including these on my summer reading list because the days are longer, the sun is out and people are generally happier during this season of the year.
